September 17, 2025

The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) recently recognized AIMS Education in the Fall 2025 issue of its annual newsletter, The Advantage. The two-page article spotlighted AIMS’ Cardiovascular Case Study Showcase, an event designed to highlight student learning and applied knowledge in cardiovascular technology.
A Prestigious Feature in The Advantage
Each fall, ABHES publishes The Advantage to provide member schools with important updates, highlights, and features from across the allied health education community. The newsletter includes staff and Commission updates, interpretation of accreditation standards, information on upcoming events, and articles highlighting innovative programs at ABHES-accredited institutions.
In this year’s issue, published in September 2025, ABHES chose to feature AIMS Education with a full two-page spread. The article, which appears on pages 8–9, detailed the purpose, structure, and outcomes of AIMS’ Cardiovascular Case Study Showcase, recognizing the event as an example of creative and engaging student learning.
The Cardiovascular Case Study Showcase
The Showcase invited students in the Cardiovascular Technology and Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography programs to research, analyze, and present clinical case studies to faculty, peers, and invited guests. Participants demonstrated critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and professional communication skills, all essential to success in the healthcare field.
In addition to providing an opportunity for students to strengthen their knowledge, the event fostered collaboration, peer learning, and professional growth. The Showcase also highlighted AIMS’ commitment to creating active learning experiences that prepare students for the demands of real-world healthcare environments.
